Oil in Water Analyses
Roemex perform routine oil in water determinations of produced waters by solvent extraction and IR analysis utilising an Infracal TOG/TPH analyser.

Determination of scale and corrosion inhibitor residuals
Roemex perform routine analysis of produced waters for residual levels of scale and corrosion inhibitors utilising the Hach Lange DR2400 spectrophotometer and colourimetric techniques.

Biological Testing
Roemex can perform microbiological testing to determine the presence of different bacterial types using test kits such as Rapidchek II and the most probable number method. Roemex can also evaluate the efficiency of biocides against different planktonic and sessile bacterial populations (single or field isolated).

Hydrocarbon Analyses
Chemists at the Roemex laboratory conduct quantitative analysis on black oil in relation to the evaluation of wax and asphaltene inhibitors. All API/IP-level analysis is contracted to NAMAS-accredited laboratories.

Water Analysis
For routine 12-ion brine chemistry analysis, Roemex have an agreement with a local NAMAS-accredited laboratory.

Deposit Analysis
Roemex can characterise generic solid types by their solubility and can provide indications as to the form of solid materials. For more in-depth analysis of solids such as scales, Roemex work with Aberdeen-based analytical companies to obtain x-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) data.
